Let’s celebrate CRIR’s 20th anniversary!
We invite you to participate in our Scientific Congress “Catalyst of Innovation for Tomorrow’s Rehabilitation” bringing together researchers, students and clinicians working locally, across the country and around the world.
This 3-day scientific congress will host renowned keynote speakers and CRIR members who will share their expertise across different domains of research that catalyzes innovation for tomorrow’s rehabilitation. This not-to-be-missed event will take place from June 8 to 10, 2020 at the Grande Bibliothèque | BAnQ, an exceptional cultural venue located in the heart of the Montreal. A Gala will be held on June 8 to celebrate CRIR’s successes over the past 20 years.

- Poster presentations;
- « CRIR’s got talent » activity – Panel discussion and networking activity;

The Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation of Greater Montreal (CRIR), operated by the Pôle universitaire en réadaptation (PUR) since 2000, wishes to thank the FRQ-S and FRQ-SC and its six partner members for their contribution to the success of this congress:
- CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l’Île-de-Montréal, affiliated with the Université de Montréal, which includes the Institut universitaire sur la réadaptation en déficience physique de Montréal (IURDPM);
- CIUSSS West-Central Montreal, affiliated with McGill University, which includes the Lethbridge-Layton-Mackay Rehabilitation Centre;
- CISSS de Laval, affiliated with McGill University, which includes the Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital;
- CISSS de la Montérégie-Centre, affiliated with the Université de Montréal, which includes the Institut Nazareth et Louis-Braille;

CALL FOR PAPERS – OPEN TO CRIR MEMBERS
This congress provides a unique opportunity to highlight and share our research activities with researchers, clinicians, students, users, managers and our various partners in an inclusive space.
Please note that researchers may submit only one abstract as a first author.
This call is open to all CRIR members. Papers can be presented in French or in English, in different formats, such as:
- « Pecha Kucha » Presentation (open to all membres)
- Pecha Kucha, “chit chat” in Japanese, is an interesting alternative to traditional presentations and slide shows. It is an oral presentation combined with the projection of 20 images or slides of 20 seconds each (i.e. a total of 6 minutes and 40 seconds). All topics related to rehabilitation are encouraged. Here are two examples of Pecha Kucha presentation to help inspire you:

Registration for the congress must be done on the CRIR online store, via the Amélia booking platform (under construction).
To register, you will need to open a personal account on the Amélia platform. One advantage of this is that all of your registrations managed by Amélia will be found there (CRIR, IURDPM and CIUSSS Centre-Sud-de-l’Île-de-Montréal activities).
Cancellation policy
All cancellation requests must be made in writing. The amount paid, less a transaction fee of $ 75, will be refunded for cancellation requests received before May 29, 2020. After this date, no refunds will be issued.

ACCOMODATION
Reserve a room at the hotel of the Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ) and be 10 minutes by walk or 3 minutes by metro away from the Grande Bibliothèque | BAnQ.
- The hotel is located in the heart of Montreal, near the Quartier des spectacles, in front of the Carré St-Louis, and is accessible by the Sherbrooke Metro / Orange Line station. Paid indoor parking is available.
- A block of rooms has been reserved for congress attendees from June 7 to 9, 2020.
